Robert John Davies, born in Tywyn, initially came as a triallist in July 2008. He impressed enough to be offered a short-term deal until the end of August, to give him a chance to earn a longer contract. Usually a central midfielder, Davies can also play wide right. He was released by the club after his trial contract expired. Two Wales under-21 caps.
