Adam David Murray, born Birmingham. Signed during the January 2008 transfer window from Macclesfield Town on a one and a half years contract. Came with a bit of a reputation as someone with a troubled past, including drinking problems. However, none of this was in evidence as Murray proved to be an excellent central midfielder, and was voted joint winner of the Rage Online Player of the Season award in 2007/08, along with Yemi Odubade. He was made captain for the 2008/09 season. He left the club by mutual consent at the start of July 2010, allegedly because of the travelling involved from his Derbyshire home, and immediately signed for Luton. At the start of October 2010 he rejoined Mansfield on a 3-month loan deal. England Youth international; England Under-20 international.
