A makeshift Oxford United side was held to a 1-1 draw by Conference club Farnborough at Cherrywood Road this evening. Derek Townsley put Oxford ahead after half an hour, but Ali Chabaan equalised for the home side with 12 minutes remaining. It was alleged today that Paul Powell is back training with the Oxford United first team squad. Powelly was due to have a trial at Doncaster but failed to show after his missus gave birth. It is not thought that Powell is likely to be offered a contract by the Us, but is probably just  [ more ]

United went down 3-0 to a semi-decent Tottenham outfit at the KasStad this afternoon.
