Big Trevor Keith Charles Aylott was signed from Birmingham City in 1991. Although he was only at the Manor for one season he made a big impact with his headband and his famous two-handed Aylott wave. He scored six goals in his 40 games, and was generally regarded as relatively immobile. After leaving Oxford he joined Gillingham, but after just ten appearances left for non-league Bromley.

Bermondsey-born Aylott started his career at Chelsea in 1977, joining Barnsley three years later. After another three seasons he left for Millwall, where he spent one season before moving on to Luton. He managed to last two seasons at Kenilworth Road before Crystal Palace signed him in 1984. He had a brief loan spell back at Barnsley, before he moved on to Bournemouth. After an astonishing five seasons at Dean Court, Aylott found himself at Birmingham City, from whence he joined Oxford.
