United make their second long away trip in three days tomorrow, when they visit early pace-setters York City. The Minstermen have fallen away somewhat since their impressive start to the season, but still have a decent home record having only lost once at Bootham Crescent, to Rochdale.
Ian Atkins can now call on Julian Alsop, who has completed his four match suspension, although given the four goals scored at Bury on Saturday, and the impressive performance of Jefferson Louis, there’s no guarantee that Alsop will make the starting eleven (although he probably will). There are unlikely to be any other changes from the weekend’s team.
York have a full squad to call on and will be hoping to improve on Saturday’s home draw against lowly Boston. Last season on-loan Gavin Gordon scored the only goal of the game to give United the points. A similar result will do very nicely, thank you, but here at Rage Online we haven’t quite got our heads around this unaccustomed optimism and the best we’re able to predict is our old fall-back: 1-1.
