Well, the world didn't end yesterday, and FOUL held its members meeting at the Supporters Club last night. The disappointingly low turnout was perhaps indicative of a perception amongst United fans that the campaign is now over. Whilst it is true that the club is a lot closer to survival now than at any time over the past ten months since FOUL's inception, there is still a long way to go before the first game at Minchery Farm kicks off. Thames Water could still refuse to accept the independent valuation of the site and insist on a larger payment than 35% of the amount the City Council is receiving for the land; Nick Pentith's threat of a Judicial Review might still throw a spanner in the works; and with Oxford United we've long ago learned that there's always something unknown waiting in the wings to up and bite us just when we thought it was all done and dusted.
