United know who one more of their opponents are going to be next season, as Shrewsbury beat Aldershot on penalties in the Conference play-off final. The Shots took the lead in the second half, but the Shrews equalised to take the game to extra-time and then penalties. Aldershot missed all three of their spot-kicks, so we can look forward to a trip to Gay Meadow again.

In the Division Three play-offs semi-final first-leg games it was the away sides that held sway. On Saturday Huddersfield won 2-1 at Lincoln, and this afternoon Mansfield beat Northampton 2-0 at Sixfields.

Stevenage Borough have signed two former Oxford players. Andy Woodman, released by Graham Rix just last week, has joined the Hertfordshire side, along with his former colleague Rob Quinn, who was let go from Bristol Rovers by Ian Atkins.
