Watson the hero

A goal from United's own Mark Watson gave Canada an unexpected victory over Trinidad & Tobago and set up a CONCACAF Gold Cup Final against Colombia on Sunday. Watson's goal came in the 68th minute of the semi-final in Los Angeles in front of a crowd of just 2,841 spectators. It was his third international goal in 57 games and it came from a header from Jim Brennan's left wing cross which was flicked on by Carlo Corrazin. Watson had earlier conceded a penalty kick when he fouled Jerren Nixon, but the 36th minute spot kick was saved by Craig Forrest. All this and (slightly) more can be found in a match report here.
