Was Wright wrong?

Today's Sunday People contains more details of the allegations against Mark Wright concerning racist comments made against referee Joe Ross at the Scunthorpe game on October 20th. According to the report there are two comments that the FA investigated. The first, presumably the one calling into question Ross's parentage, was not found to be proven, it having been overheard only by an assistant referee. The second remark was “Of all the fucking days, it's Anti-Racism Day and you've incensed the crowd, you fucking git. You're a joke”. This was overheard by several witnesses and leaves open the question of intent, which makes the presence of the legal beagles at Wright's hearing on Friday imperative. There's no doubt that this is abusive, but whether or not it constitutes racism is extremely doubtful. We await Friday's events with breath well bated.
