Us v Us reprise

From the Rage Online newsdesk Thursday, November 13th, 2003

Following last Saturday’s game at the faux Us Colchester, United now travel to the faux Us Cambridge on Saturday, back to the bread and butter of league action.

Matt Robinson should be back to fill his left wingback role following his suspension last Saturday. This could mean Jon Ashton returning to his usual centre back role, or it could mean him dropping to the bench if Ian Atkins decides to stick with Dave Waterman, or even recalling Paul McCarthy. Elsewhere it is unlikely that Atkins will make any other unforced alterations to his favoured starting line-up, everyone else being fit and suspension-free.

The game, of course, sees the return of Paul Wanless to his former stomping ground, although he has already been there once this week playing in a testimonial match. United should continue their run which has seen them lose only one league game all season, but this is football and no game would be complete without Rage Online’s traditional doom and gloom, so we’re going to predict 2-1 to Cambridge. We also predict that the newspapers will totally miss the point and print lots of crap headlines using university themes. When will they ever learn?
