Us on the move

While transfer activity at Oxford United may have been relatively quiet recently, there has been some movement worth reporting. The big news as far as United is concerned is that Luke Foster has signed a one-year contract at the club. Foster was fairly revelatory in his short spell here at the back end of last season, after he joined from Stalybridge Celtic as a result of a letter from his Dad to Jim Smith, and after impressing for the reserves. Unfortunately, FosL broke his leg in the last scheduled game of the season at York, and so missed the two play-off games against Exeter.

There has also been a fair amount of movement among ex-Us. Most significantly, Oldham Athletic have signed Craig Davies [@player]davies, craig[/@player]from Hallas Verona. The fee has been described as “undisclosed”, but the Oldham Evening Chronicle claims that it could have been as high as
