United have been drawn away at Rochdale in the first round of the FA Cup. The game will be played in two weeks, on Saturday 13th November, unless it’s moved to be on the telly, which we somehow doubt.
With Rochdale coming to the KasStad to play United in the league the following Saturday, this means that potentially the clubs could face each other in three successive games, should the first round tie at Spotland end all-square. This will be the first time that the two clubs have met in cup competition.
Forest Green Rovers were rewarded for their 5-0 win at Thame United with a home tie against Bournemouth. Other ties of note include Swindon at home to Sheffield Wednesday, Bristol Rovers entertain (hah!) Carlisle, and Cheltenham welcome Swansea.
