Oxford United continued on their fine run of form last night by beating Rushden & Diamonds 1-0 in United's final home game of the season. Leading scorer Yemi Odubade grabbed the winner with an excellent finish, seven minutes from time. The game was played in a strange atmosphere, with the usual end-of-season quietness interrupted by invective towards former Oxford midfielder Andy Burgess, intermingled with the occasional burst of enthusiasm for events on the pitch.
