Mansfield have moved up to fourth after their 3-1 win at Bristol Rovers, who drop to seventh, so tomorrow’s game is now between the fifth and sixth placed teams.
Scunthorpe’s 5-2 win over Cheltenham has lifted the Iron up to seventh, and leaves the Robins wallowing in 19th position. York City’s decline continues with a 2-0 defeat at Bury, while Doncaster Rovers came from 3-0 down to get a 3-3 draw at Cambridge United. Huddersfield have moved up to 11th after their 1-0 win over Kidderminster, a result which sees the Harriers drop down to second from bottom.
The clash between the two bottom teams ended up with a win for Leyton Orient at Carlisle. The 1-0 victory was Orient’s first game since Paul Brush got sacked. Northampton’s first match under the temporary charge of former United midfielder Richard Hill saw the Cobblers draw 0-0 at Lincoln. Southend have risen up to fourth from bottom after their 0-0 draw at Darlington, while Macclesfield remain unbeaten at home, beating Rochdale 2-1.
