Trophy or atrophy?

From the Rage Online newsdesk Monday, December 15th, 2008

In the draw for the second round of the FA Trophy, Oxford United have been given a home tie, although it is not yet known who the opponents will be. We do know that it will be a Conference National side, as Oxford will meet the winners of the game between York City and Northwich Victoria.

The game between York and Northwich, due to have been played on Saturday at Moss Lane, was postponed due to the weather, and is now scheduled to take place tomorrow evening. The second round tie will be played on 10 January.[@opponent]northwich victoria[/@opponent][@opponent]york city[/@opponent]

United have never been beyond the second round of the FA Trophy. They lost in the first round last season at Tonbridge Angels, and in the season before they were beaten in the second round, after a replay, by Halifax, having eliminated Lewes in the first round.
