Torquay preview

United visit the English Riviera on Saturday hopeful of continuing their recent good home form against one of the few teams below them. Torquay have had their problems and almost sold striker Tony Bedeau to United last season, but the deal fell through. United's new loan signing from Swansea, Matthew Bound, is in the squad. He joins the two other new central defenders, Andy Crosby and loanee David Morley, leading to much speculation including a possible return to three at the back for the Us. Other possibilities include Morley playing at left back in place of Wayne Hatswell, or even in midfield instead of Rob Quinn.

Many United supporters would like to see Sam Stockley moved back to the right back position with either Chris Hackett or Manny Omoyinmi on the right wing, but there is no indication that this is likely. United have also been bolstered by the return to training of leading scorer Jamie Brooks following his knee injury and he may feature, even if it's only on the bench initially. Buoyed by the recent hard-fought win over Mansfield, and generally getting carried away by the seasonal euphoria brought on by too much Irish coffee at a work do, Rage Online is happy to placate those who whinge about our negativity by predicting an excellent result for Oxford, who we think will draw 1-1 at Plainmoor.
