Three draws in one day

From the Rage Online newsdesk Saturday, October 22nd, 2005

As well as United being held to a goalless draw by an unadventurous Boston side, there were two other draws of note today. These were the draw for the second round of the LSD Cup, held this morning, and that was followed by the draw for the first round of the FA Cup this evening.

In the crap minor cup Oxford beat Brentford at Griffin Park after extra time and penalties in the first round. Their reward for this endeavour was a home game against next Saturday's league opponents, Leyton Orient, who beat Yeovil 2-0 in the first round. The game will probably take place on 23 November.

In this evening's FA Cup draw United were handed a tricky trip to the coast, having to travel to Sussex to face Eastbourne Borough. Eastbourne, who also play in Yellow (when wearing their second strip), are currently struggling in the Conference South, and beat Hellenic League Bishop's Cleeve 1-0 today in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round. This tie will take place on Saturday 5 November, unless the TV bods deem this game worthy of broadcast.
