There's only one United

..and they beat one of the Manchester teams 3-2 tonight in the long-overdue testimonial for Mike Ford. In front of a crowd of 6,123 Chris Hackett gave United the lead which was extended by Derek Lilley. A Manchester player pulled a goal back before half-time and then another one (or perhaps the same one, they all look alike) equalised. Eventually Phil Gilchrist cleared to Mike Ford who chipped it towards Matt Elliott who knocked the ball down for Jim Magilton to score the winner. Time warp? What time warp? Now that's an Oxford line-up which could do well next season… A match report might appear tomorrow, if our reporter gets it together.
