Oxford United get another chance this Thursday to take three points from a Wiltshire team, when they face Salisbury City for the second time in two weeks. The Us slumped to a disappointing 2-1 loss at the Raymond McEnhill Stadium on Boxing Day, in front of over 1,200 United fans, slightly outnumbering the home fans. Once again a bumper crowd was let down, but United started to make up for it on Sunday with a 5-1 demolition of Ebbsfleet United in front of an equally impressive 5,100 home fans.

Little Sam Deering suffered a devastating injury in that Boxing Day match; breaking his leg and rupturing his ankle ligaments. The promising young midfielder looks to be out for the rest of the season. United will also be without Chris Carruthers, who is struggling to recover from a calf strain, while
