Tait’s unlucky break

Tait's unlucky break

Paul Tait's injury is worse than at first feared, and it appears that he has a hairline fracture of his tibula. This means that, just as he is starting to play his best football since arriving from Birmingham, he faces another lengthy spell on the sidelines. Tait joins Paul Powell and Rage On Sponsored Rob Folland on the injury list, although these latter two are expected to have a comeback game for the reserves next week.

Neither of them will feature in tonight's Combination match at Bristol Rovers, although Leon Mike, the two Weatherstones, Chris Hackett and Matt Murphy will all feature. The result will be posted here as soon as we find out what it is.

The last syllable of recorded time

Tomorrow is yet another D-Day in the latest chapter of the United saga, potentially the most significant one since Firoz Kassam took over the club. At a press conference at 10.00 tomorrow morning at the Manor Kassam intends to make “two exciting announcements”. Without wishing to prejudge the situation these presumably relate to a start date for recommencement of building work at Minchery Farm and something about the team management situation. Unfortunately, although Rage Online intends to have a presence at the conference, we will not be able to post a report until in the evening. Please accept our apologies for this.
