Ta-ra Nashy

United's Education Officer, Dave Nash, left the club today, the official reason being so that he can spend more time with his family in Kent. Nashy has been at United for six years, working with schools and young players. His departure, so soon after Gary Hooper's, leaves another gap at United that the club must fill as quickly as possible.

Up the Manor

The new hospital that is being built on the site of United's old ground is to be called the Manor Hospital. Originally it was intended to call it the Nuffield Hospital, it being owned by the Nuffield Group, but after consultation with local residents it was decided that name was too similar to the Nuffield Orthopedic Hospital in nearby Windmill Road. Instead it was decided to call the private hospital after the football ground on which site it was built.
