Sylla killer

United's reserves continued their recent good form by beating Northampton 2-1 at Sixfields. United fielded a strong side, including Phil Gray, Manny Omoyinmi, Robert Quinn and many others from the first team squad. Even so they had to battle back from 1-0 down with a goal from scoring sensation and substitute Norman Sylla and a winner from Andy Scott.

Quinn was playing for a place in the United midfield this Saturday as United are short in that section, Dean Whitehead being suspended and Martin Thomas and Paul Tait both injured. Ian Atkins has also intimated that he is looking for a new midfielder to bring in. New signing Andy Crosby didn't play, presumably because Atkins didn't want him to be risked for the Mansfield game.
