Swansea preview

The visitors to the Kassam Stadium this Saturday are Swansea City, currently lying second from bottom of the entire football league. That's 91st place out of 92, if it was at all unclear. Formerly managed by ex-United striker Nick Cusack, they've now shaken themselves clear of that particular shackle but still have Matt Murphy in their squad, and so are clearly Conference-bound. Murphy hasn't actually played for them since mid-September, but they haven't much improved for his absence.

United will still be without twin strikers Steve Basham and Lee Steele who are both a couple of weeks away from fitness apparently, although both could figure for the Reserves this Wednesday with Basham the most likely to get some of the game under his belt. With various other niggling injury worries affecting the remaining strikers (and Jamie Brooks obviously still absent) the starting duo up front might well by Manny Omoyinmi and Gavin Gordon by default, which may be no bad thing. The other possible change could be at the back, with United not being able to agree terms yet with Adi Viveash. One possibility is that he might return here on loan whilst a deal is thrashed out, but it's also possible that United might have to either return to a flat back four or else introduce Dave Waterman, Sam Ricketts or Matt Robinson into the third centre back role.

United's home form is their biggest problem (apart from their lack of strikers) and it could be the stumbling block that prevents them from taking maximum points against the league's second worst team. Following last week's debacle Rage Online has since learnt never to be optimistic again and, realistically, we see this one being 0-0.
