Summer madness

Andy Linighan, released by United at the end of last season, has joined St Albans City of the Ryman League Premier Division. Meanwhile there is a (slim) possibility that Stan Collymore might join former U's Jamie Cook, Weatherstones and Mark Angel at Boston United.

With the Official web site currently out of action no news is emanating from the Manor (other than that the London Road arch has now been dismantled) and so, just for a change, we've decided to report a totally spurious and unconfirmed rumour that Paul Moody could be returning to United from Millwall for £50,000. Risible really, but we felt we wouldn't be doing our duty if we failed to report it to you. The Lions themselves may be after Andy Scott, but this is also unconfirmed hearsay.
