Put away those maps to North Yorkshire. The Conference board has relegated Scarborough to the Conference North and reinstated Altrincham after the Seadogs were unable to convince the board that they have achieved financial stability after coming out of administration a couple of weeks ago. Altrincham had finished three points above the relegation zone, but were then docked 18 points for fielding an ineligible player, a punishment viewed by many as being somewhat harsh. This latest move looks like justice has been restored, much to Scarborough’s chagrin.
Another Conference club has fallen into financial problems, as Crawley Town have applied to go into adminstration. This comes less than a month after the side was fined
