Raging Fever 1 Shrewsbury Away Supporters 4

Report By James Longshaw

Raging Fever followed up last week's defeat with another at Horspath Road today. With Rob Muskett stepping in for regular manager John Matthews, and the opposition being our friends from Shropshire, winning the game was always going to be an uphill struggle.

The game began evenly, with both sides getting plenty of possession, but there was little incident. This remained the case until the 15th minute, when a cross from the left eluded the Fever defence and allowed the Shrews striker a simple tap in. Although rattled, Fever soon found their feet and it was only a matter of time before they found their equalizer.

The goal came from a quickly taken Steve Gilbert free-kick (in the Fever half, I must add), which was picked up by striker Steve Fuller, who rounded the keeper and placed the ball into the bottom left corner of the net. This was the fifth goal in four games for Fuller, who is in brilliant form. The goal also vindicated Gilbert
