Reserves report

An improved second half performance saw United's reserves continue their winning streak, thanks to the introduction of Jamie Cook. It had looked bad for the U's in the first half when Chris Tate beat a static Oxford defence to score. Thankfully the second half wasn't nearly as dire as United dominated. Manny Omoyinmi went close before a goalmouth scramble ensued with Steve Anthrobus almost scoring with an audacious back-heel! Cook came on for the often lively Jamie Brooks and immediately won a penalty, which Cook himself converted. A minute later a cross from the right gave Bus all the time in the world to slot home United's winner.
Lee Jarman's exclusion from the side means he is almost certain to step in for the suspended Jon Richardson against Colchester at the weekend.
