Oxford United have their second crunch match in a week tonight, as they try for three more valuable away points at play-off chasing Cambridge United. The Setanta cameras will be focused on the match and they will be doing their best to play up the non-existent rivalry between the two clubs. The “Varsity derby” is given extra spice with United needing to take something to have any realistic hopes for the play-offs. The Us picked up a valuable and satisfying three points against Crawley Town on Saturday, and now that Kelvin Thomas has accepted the five-point penalty imposed on the club, at least a draw is necessary. United currently sit in 11th place and are nine points behind Kidderminster Harriers, who occupy the final play-off place. In addition to this, all the teams above The Us, other than Crawley, Eastbourne Borough, Stevenage Borough, and Burton Albion, have played at least one game less. But a win for United would see them go back into ninth position, and just three points off seventh-placed Wrexham. United
