Powell power

He was the Oxford United player of the season, and then visitors to Oxtales also voted him their player of the season, and now he's received the greatest accolade of all: Paul Powell has been voted the Rage Online readers Player of the Season 1999/2000, with well over 50% of the vote (57% to be precise). On-loan goalkeeper Richard Knight was second with just 12% and leading scorer Matt Murphy came third with 7%. Congratulations to all who managed to shine in a season where shining wasn't generally on the agenda.

Cumulative speculation

It would appear that Birmingham City are interested in signing Richard Knight, although this has not been confirmed. Similarly there are rumours linking Paul Simpson with a move from Wolves to Walsall. John Dreyer is apparently interesting Aberdeen, although he has been offered a new contract by Bradford City.
