Plymouth come to town

United welcome Plymouth Argyle to Oxford this Saturday hoping to bring to an end the Pilgrims' eight match unbeaten run which has seen them rise to fourth in the division. United will have pretty much a full squad to choose from, with Andy Scott, Darren Patterson, Jon Shepheard, Joey Beauchamp and now ROS Rob Folland the only absentees through injury. Following his recent success against Bristol Rovers it is unlikely that Manny Omoyinmi will lose his place alongside Paul Moody up front. In fact it is hard to see Mark Wright making any changes to the line up which has remained unaltered for two games now. Jamie Brooks is likely to return to the bench and Chris Hackett has done his chances of a recall no harm with recent impressive displays for the reserves.

Plymouth's manager Paul Sturrock has just been given the Third Division Manager of the Month Award, although Rage Online feels that all this talk about it being a “poisoned chalice” is superstitious nonsense. Plymouth also feature former United golden boy (or orangey-brown boy depending on the strength of his sun-bed) Nicky Banger. Nevertheless, we are continuing with our recent promise not to forecast United victories and anticipate an exciting game which will end 2-2. Could be wrong, of course.

Meanwhile Rage Online is in a position to categorically rubbish reports that Joey Beauchamp is about to have his contract bought out and begin playing for Oxford City. We have it from an excellent and utterly reliable source that this is merely hearsay and is utter balderdash. Not like us to diss rumours, we know, but this one deserves to be shot down in flames before it gets out of hand – sorry to ruin your fun boys!
