Oxford don't lose shock

Despite taking the lead through a spectacular Matt Murphy strike near the end of the first half Oxford managed to take a point from Ninian Park. Cardiff's Nugent equalised shortly into the second half but United held on for the draw. Steve Davis started in place of the injured Mark Watson and Rob Folland returned to the right back berth in place of Jon Shepheard. Joey Beauchamp regained his midfield place as Peter Fear was relegated to the substitute's bench. Midway through the second half Derek Lilley came on for Jamie Cook. AWS B's v. U's

In the third round of the Auto Windscreens Shield Southern Section Oxford have been drawn away at Brentford. The game will be played on Tuesday 25th January.
