Oxford City Council's Executive Board will meet on Tuesday morning. Later in the day, in confidential session, they will discuss Firoz Kassam's position on the outstanding debt of £494,000 owed to the Council, which is the second stage payment for the land deal at Minchery Farm. The payment was originally due on January 4th.

The Executive Board will be offered two possible solutions by Kassam's representatives, the first of which has already been deemed unacceptable by council officers. Ten senior councillors will be asked for their views on accepting the second solution. Kassam argues that his hotel companies have financially suffered since September the 11th, and that he does not have sufficient available funds to pay the council. Unfortunately it is unlikely that the council will release the details of the discussions into the public arena.
