Orient here

United welcome Leyton Orient to the Kassam Stadium tomorrow night in what is bound to be a nervy encounter as the Us try not to let the Tuesday night hoodoo play on their minds. There is a slight doubt over James Hunt who apparently suffered a foot injury on Saturday, but doubtless Roy Hunter can come in if Hunt doesn't make it. Otherwise we expect Ian Atkins to stick with the same side that started against Boston and also Torquay. This is a shame as we'd like to see Lee Steele given a chance to show what he can do from the start, and of course we'd also like to see Chris Hackett given a proper run out. It'll never happen.

At least Orient don't have any Oxford old boys in their squad, which is a relief, and when United beat them 2-1 at Brisbane Road back in September they looked very poor. Of course this doesn't mean spit in March and we do feel that the Tuesday effect could distract United's players enough to allow Orient into the game. We're going for 1-1, don't ask why.

Some new of ex-Us: as well as Jamie Cook's move to Stevenage Borough a couple of days ago, former loan goalkeeper Neil Cutler has left Stoke to join Swansea on loan until the end of the season. Abdou Sall, who played for about four minutes for United earlier this season, including the win over swindon, has signed for Nuneaton Borough, and former Oxford central defender Phil Whelan has been told by Southend that his contract won't be renewed at the end of the season.
