South Stand Upper Tier gets certificate
The upper tier of the South Stand, closed for the Palace friendly last weekend, was today granted a full safety certificate meaning that it will be fully open for the visit of Rochdale on Saturday. In addition the restaurant and bars will be open before the Rochdale. The restaurant will be doing a hot and cold bufeet only. The Exhibition bar will also be open. The club is anticipating between 9,500 and 10,000 on Saturday.

The anticipated arrival today of two new players failed to occur, and another target for the club is now a new doctor. Dr Sacks, who has been performing medical duties for the club for many years and whose practice is located next door to the Manor, is stepping down. The Rochdale match will be his last.

The new club shop portakabin has been delivered to Minchery Farm and is located in the corner at the west end of the South Stand. The new kit is due in tomorrow, so they say.

Former United star Mick Tait, now assistant manager at Darlington, has been offered a new two year contract at the Quakers.
