Not a Ross word

Not a Ross word

Oxford United have issued a non-statement about the Ross Weatherstone incident which states, more or less, that whilst it has a strong anti-racist policy it will “support Ross Weatherstone at this difficult time”. Certainly a difficult time for the taxi driver he was convicted of assaulting, but not a statement which gives much hope that its strong anti-racist policy is anything other than empty rhetoric. The club's PR has long been a cause for concern, this incident does nothing to allay our fears that things have not improved, although it should be pointed out that neither Firoz Kassam nor club secretary Mick Brown were responsible for this statement. Barbados buggered

Barbados were stuffed 7-0 by the United States early this morning, although they were once again without the “talents” of Steve Anthrobus, who still hasn't sorted out his Barbadan nationality. Presumably that was their excuse for such a heavy defeat.
