United went out of the LDV Vans Trophy Southern Section First Round tonight, losing 2-0 (as predicted by Rage Online) at Sixfields. James Hunt scored the first goal after about 35 minutes and Paul McGregor made it 2-0 in first half injury time.

There were three changes from Saturday's line-up at Lincoln. Phil Bolland returned to the defence for Jon Richardson after serving his one match ban; ROS Rob Folland took over from Martin Thomas, with Bolland taking the captain's armband; and Jamie Brooks replaced Paul Moody who was being rested with his dodgy back. United made two substitutions, Paul Powell came on for Sam Ricketts ten minutes into the second half and Chris Hackett made his first appearance of the season when he replaced Sam Stockley with ten minutes remaining.

Dave Savage was United's only booking, receiving the yellow card for stupidly kicking ball away. The attendance was 2,640, including an impressive turn out of almost 500 Us fans. There will be no match report, but you can vote for the Man of the Match and Weakest Link at the Rage Online Voting Booth.
