Norman’s conquest

Norman's conquest

United's reserves today achieved a result that their first team colleagues were unable to secure, as they came from a goal down to beat Bristol Rovers 2-1. A last minute goal from French triallist striker Norman Sylla, his second in successive games, added to a Jamie Brooks strike, was enough to overturn a first half Mark Walters goal. United's reserves have lost only once in five games so far this season, and are unbeaten at Court Place Farm.

Old boy alert

Poor Exeter. Not only are they languishing at the foot of the whole football league, but it has been reported that David Kemp has applied for their vacant managerial post. The Conference beckons, boys!

Meanwhile striker extraordinaire Steve Anthrobus has, at last, managed to find the net for League of Wales outfit TNS in their 4-0 win over Rhyader Town last Saturday. Mind you, he scored in his first game for Oxford, so maybe he won't match his Manor scoring feats at Llansantffraid?
