Cristian Montano has agreed a loan extension with his parent club West Ham United to remain at Oxford United until the end of the season. Montano will stay at the Kassam Stadium after impressing since his arrival in March. The 20 year-old Columbian forward has made seven appearances for United, with two vital goals scored against Torquay United and Northampton Town respectively.

The speedy striker joins fellow attacker Dean Morgan at Grenoble Road, after parent club Chesterfield agreed to lengthen his loan spell less than two weeks ago. Both will now be looking to help the Us push for promotion with only three games remaining in the domestic season. Oxford face stern tests at Plymouth Argyle and Port Vale on the last day of the season, with the challenging visit of Southend United in-between. United currently lie in seventh position in Division Four retaining a play-off place, heading Gillingham by four points after Saturday
