More Morley

Centre back Dave Morley, on loan to United from Carlisle, has had his loan period extended by a further month after impressing manager Ian Atkins in the three fixtures in which he's been involved. Atkins has said that he wants to sign both Morley and Matthew Bound, on loan from Swansea, on permanent contracts but has so far been unable to reach agreement with either of their clubs.

A meeting was held at the Kassam Stadium today between Atkins and Firoz Kassam to try and sort out the management structure at the club. With all managerial and assistant duties split between Atkins and Mike Ford more capacity is needed. Whether that means Atkins bringing in someone else to act as his number two with Ford taking charge of the reserves, or leaving Ford as his second in command and a new person looking after the second string is presumably what was discussed.
