Another home defeat, and another double conceded, this time to top of the table Millwall who coasted to a 2-0 lead with goals from former superstar Paul Moody in the 12th minute and Dave Livermore in the 45th. With the game won Millwall then just sat back and watched Oxford hoof the ball forward aimlessly at every available opportunity whilst posing absolutely no threat whatsoever. United started with the same line-up as began against Stoke but midway through the first half Robert Quinn limped off to be replaced by Dean Whitehead and with about ten minutes remaining Paul Tait replaced Joey Beauchamp. John Robertson was booked and the attendance was just 5,795. A match report can be found here.
Also going down with United are probably Swansea, who lost 1-0 at home to Reading. Port Vale scraped a 1-1 home draw with Bury whilst Luton won 3-1 at swindon (don't know whether to be happy or sad!). Bristol Rovers beat Cambridge 2-1. There are now 17 points between Oxford and fifth from bottom swindon.
