McGonn!
Ted McMinn this evening left United “by mutual consent”, following discussions with chairman Firoz Kassam. Rage Online expects that the discussions were along the following lines:
FK: Ted, how much do you want to leave?
TM: £x
FK: You can have half of that.
TM: Okay.
This leaves both management positions at the club currently vacant, although we expect Ian Atkins to take over the manager's post and Mike Ford to be named his number 2. This will probably happen this week although, with no game this weekend, there is less pressure to make any announcement.
Fever in the morning
On Saturday morning Raging Fever took on a team of Hull supporters, and took their unbeaten run to an impressive two games. John Matthews has kindly supplied
an immodest match report which can be found here.
Manor stripped bear(er)
The seats from the Osler Road stand and some of the old turnstyles from the Manor have been bought by Leamington FC, who have also purchased the tannoy system from United's former home. Leamington were also negotiating with United to buy the four floodlight pylons and bulbs, but instead purchased Halesowen's. With the relocation of sundry items such as the trophy cabinet and club pictures to the new stadium there's not really a lot left in Headington.
