Maurice Evans diesRage Online is upset to announce the death of former United manager Maurice Evans from a heart attack earlier today. Evans, 63, will be best known to United fans as the man who led the club to victory at Wembley in the 1986 Milk Cup Final, and for his humility exemplified by the way he sent physiotherapist Ken Fish up the steps to collect his medal in his stead. Evans managed Oxford for the majority of the three seasons the club was in the old Division One, but was associated with United both before and for many years after his stint as boss. |
There are reports that Firoz Kassam has spent some time in hospital recently to undergo some tests. The diagnosis and prognosis have not been released but we understand that Kassam will be back at work next week. This explains both his recent unavailability and his lack of involvement in the recent Ross Weatherstone episode. It is hoped by Rage Online that once he has his feet back under the desk Kassam will exercise a firmer grip than has been displayed in his absence.
Rage On Sponsored Rob Folland has been named in the Wales Under-21 squad to face Belarus on September 1st in the UEFA U-21 Championships.
