Match off

Match off

United's match at Bournemouth today was called off due to a frozen pitch. At least this means that Jermaine Defoe can go and break his record (or not) against some other poor whipping-boys… United's next match is Saturday 27th at home to Colchester (watch out for the Rage On sellers if you missed your copy last week) and hopefully this postponement will give Dave Kemp a chance to bring in some new players beforehand. Kemp is appearing on a Radio Oxford phone-in on Thursday evening where supporters will have a chance to question the U's manager.

The games involving Port Vale, Luton and swindon were all also postponed, but two of the other bottom teams lost. Swansea went down 5-1 at Walsall and Bristol Rovers were beaten by a Jamie Cureton goal at Reading. Anders Jacobsen opened the scoring for Notts County as they thrashed Rotherham 4-1 and Ben Abbey scored both Southend's goals in their 2-0 win over Orient.
