Keith represented Oxford and England Schoolboys before becoming an apprentice with Oxford United and then signing professionally with them. Though he did not make a Football League appearance for Oxford United he did make one for Grimsby Town at Gillingham in August 1975 whilst on loan from Oxford. He then joined Witney Town in July 1976 and was part of their 1977/78 Southern League First Division North Championship winning side. After playing for Aylesbury United from seasons 1980/81 to 1986/87 inclusive he moved to Banbury United for season 1987/88 (46 appearances) and 1988/89 (48 appearances), in the latter season he was player/coach at Banbury. He then joined Buckingham Town for season 1989/90 helping them to win the Southern League Southern Division Championship in season 1990/91 and then succeeded Phil Lines as their manager in June 1991. He was Aylesbury United Player of the Year in 1983. Died from cancer on 18th December 2013.
