Christopher Paul Carruthers was born in Kettering. Left back, signed in the summer of 2008 after being released by Bristol Rovers. He performed well enough, but after Chris Wilder signed Kevin Sandwith his appearances were limited and at the end of the 2008/09 season he was invited to look for another club. He had loan spells at Crawley and then York. He was released from his contract in January 2010. England Youth international; England Under-20 international.
