'Young' Jack Elliott was born in Knaphill. Made his Millwall debut v West Ham and after his National Service (when he played in the same British Army team as Cliff Nugent) he signed for Gloucester City. Joined Headington 11 weeks later. Was on the losing side just once in his first 20 games. Left for Hastings because he wanted to pursue a career as a PE teacher, which he did eventually. Managed Camberley and Woking. Tall, strong, fast outside right.
