Lee Alexander Molyneaux, born in Portsmouth, was one of a plethora of players signed by Graham Rix who had a Portsmouth connection. While Molly could generally be considered a utility player, he was happiest at right back, or on the right side of midfield. However, he wasn't a specialist in any position, and never got a regular first-team place.

When Brian Talbot became the manager, Lee never did enough to impress, and the writing was on the wall when he was a non-playing substitute for a very poor reserves side. He was eventually released from his contract in November 2005.
