Mack’s the lad

From the Rage Online newsdesk Friday, May 28th, 2004

United have signed yet another new player, this time Dundee’s Dave Mackay has joined up on a two year contract. Mackay was a regular for Dundee in the SPL last season, and also played in their UEFA Cup run. The right-back apparently likes to go forward, and speaks fondly of his time at Dundee when Rix was coach there. It’s not such good news for the Scottish club, though, who have been shedding players left, right, and centre as part of a money-saving exercise.

Another Scot moving south is former United striker Derek Lilley, who has left Livingston for the bright lights of Boston. Why?

United also released their ticket prices for next season, showing a slight, but significant, increase on last season. This if the first time that ticket prices have gone up since the club moved to the KasStad, and this time it looks like spenders might actually be rewarded for their expenditure, if not in results at least in style. Season-ticket holders will also be able to take advantage of various special offers at the club, the O-zone cinema, and the Bowlplex.
