United have been drawn away to Colchester United in the first round of the FA Cup. The game is due to be played on Saturday 8th November.

United last went to Colchester in the Cup on November 25th 1978, when the Essex boys won 4-2. United’s goals were scored by Peter Foley and Jason Seacole in front of 4,172 spectators.

Colchester are currently 8th in Division Two, having beaten bottom club Chesterfield 1-0 in front of just 3,115. Former United defender Sam Stockley is a regular for the other Us.
