Kiddy stuff

United visit Aggborough tomorrow knowing that a win against 11th placed Kidderminster will put Oxford back into the automatic promotion places, and still with a game in hand on some of their rivals (although they'll have played three games more than Bournemouth and Wrexham). For Oxford to be able to avoid the lottery of the play-offs it really is essential that they get something from this fixture, and confidence will have been boosted after the demolition of Rushden at the weekend. Ian Atkins will have both Bobby Ford back after his virus and Dave Waterman will also be available for selection, having recovered from his back spasms, but Atkins may prefer to stick with the side that did so well on Saturday.

Last season's fixture ended goalless, but with United having the better chances. This season the Harriers have an inconsistent home record, but did beat Us' promotion rivals Bury on Saturday. Whilst we are as delirious as anyone with the trouncing of the Diamonds, we refuse to get carried away on the fresh wave of optimism, just like we didn't get onto the gloom and doom bandwagon following our poor start to the year. Kidderminster will be tough and we think they'll win 1-0. So there.

Moody shot away?

Paul Moody has been transfer listed by Aldershot. Manager Terry Brown reckons that he needs to change the Shots' style of play and the ageing decorator no longer fits into his plans, presumably meaning no more hoof and hope for the long-suffering squaddies. For more info check out ShotsWeb, Aldershot's official web site.
